The CCR Test
Lookin' Out My Non-Existent Back Door
Your first assignment is to get on YouTube or any other place you can find music. Type in CCR Lookin’ Out My Back Door.
Remember when Democrats were normal? Remember when the left wasn’t insane? I remember those days. To recall former times, I am often drawn to CCR while nowadays the left is drawn to the PCR and other forms of deception, including spoon bending charlatans, of the which I give no credence.
I have never been to Illinois. I am not even sure how to pronounce it. Some pronounce the “s” while others do not. This, however, does not prevent me from making a clear stance on my choice. I prefer the “s” silent. In some Illinois counties, it may be downright illegal to pronounce the “s”. Many bar fights may have been started over the issue. If I am ever in such a pinch, I will simply refer to an authority. And it would take some powers of persuasion to change my stance. I have the scripture to support it. That authority is Credence Clearwater Revival, or CCR for those wishing to save their breath.
In Lookin’ Out My Back Door, John Fogerty clearly drops the “s”.
Just got back from Illinois
Lock the front door, Oh boy!
I am certain of this because I have just listened to it 111 times. For the same reason Buck Owens will alway be Buck Owen to me. Even though I don’t know who he is (Update: After the 112th time, I realized he does say “Buck Owens”, but I still don’t know who he is).
I do not have a porch. I do not even have a back door. I do have a front door which I often lock. Sometimes I forget to lock it. In my lifetime I have never taken a ride on a flying spoon but I have gotten into spoon battles with Uri Geller in my dreams. I have seen happy, and sometimes rather menacing, creatures dancing on the lawn, when I had one. I have yet to see a lawn in Tokyo. Nor a porch. Nor Uri Geller. Just a sea of fools who have given credence to the Church of Fauci.
If I did have a back door or a porch, I could see masked fools pass by on a regular basis while enjoy a refreshing lemonade. I would mimic Sesame Street’s The Count’s voice as best as I could and say, “111. 111 masked fools.” Eventually. If I had the stamina to look that long I could compete with Fauci!
No tambourines. No elephants. No band. No flying spoons unless, I decided to throw one. Just masked fools who probably had PCR tests during the height of The Never Ending Coof Wars. Now, the war continues but it is all theater. In fact, it always has been. I have seen the rain and it is in the form of masks blowing in the wind under a Bad Moon Rising.
One of the things that I have learned in life is that you can never trust a person who does not like CCR. Never. Many have failed the CCR Test and those who have most likely failed the PCR test. If they come for me, I will be ready.
Bother me tomorrow, today, I’ll buy no sorrows
Doo, doo, doo, lookin’ out my back door
I hope you liked the song. How many times did you listen? Did you listen carefully/ There are only two types of people in this world: those who like Creedence and those who don’t.
